Evening Kiev, Paton Bridge painting

It's always difficult to show the true beauty of a painting through photographs. The original art piece is always unique and hard to replicate in prints. The only way to see true loveliness of the original painting is to hold it with your own hands. Photography merely gives us a chance to see the art up close in the comfort of our homes, but it does not always capture the true sense of the original piece that would leave us in awe. It is a known pleasure to see an image of beautiful rose, but is it the same as holding a rose in your hands and smelling its fragrance?
Sometime it is just impossible to show the tone and color of a painting through a photograph. I recently created a painting of a bridge, but I had trouble taking a perfect photograph of it. I found it difficult to make photos during the process of creation. The painting is nice in person, but showing it online is the real challenge. The purple paint itself was tricky, not just during photography; its tone would change after drying on the canvas. The result however is a beautiful painting.
